‘Breaking’ News
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT! ❤️
You know the old adage ‘It’s an honour even to be nominated’?
In this case — very, very true.
We’re pleased to announce that our founder @smccomm has been nominated for two @smallbusinessbc awards! Through their restaurant and culinary work as well as the creation of this very account, they're up for the categories of Premier’s People’s Choice and Best Community Impact this year (!).
And you know another old adage that rings true in this instance? WE COULDN’T HAVE DONE ANY OF THIS WITHOUT ALL OF YOU.
If our efforts have supported or entertained you in any way — we would greatly appreciate your vote in both categories. Voting is open until March 7 and we’ve linked to the voting page in our bio above. Thank you!

DINE OUT FOR KIDS TOO!
Who says @dineoutvanfest is just for adults?
Certainly not @tapandbarrel, which has introduced special three-course Dine Out for Kids menus.
Tykes aged twelve and under can enjoy multi-course dining and will be able to tailor their own experience by selecting their favourite item from each course.
The menu offers new starters and desserts that are exclusive during Dine Out including Hummus & Veggies, Fruit Skewers, Coke Floats, Sundae Jars, and Apples & Caramel.
The menus allow the entire family to enjoy something different and make new traditions in a year that’s been anything but normal.
Check out the link in the @tapandbarrel bio to view the full menu.

LOVE AND AFFECTION
A little love and affection for our friends in the F&B industry across the country on this Valentine’s Day from @wilsonklee, CEO and Founder of the Profitable Restaurant Owner Academy.
In a recent post, he details the importance of team-building, how restaurateurs can show the love to their staff and reap the benefits.
“Your team is the backbone of your business,” he writes. “Unless you’re running a food truck, you can’t operate without one. When customers come in, they see your employees. They’re the face of your restaurant, it’s important that they’re happy! That means you need to spend just as much time training and supporting your staff as any other part of your business.”
Take a deeper dive with Lee in his Forbes Magazine article ‘Five Things That Can Make or Break a Restaurant Today’ piece at the link in our bio above.
Happy Valentine’s Day from all of us at Breaking Bread HQ to all of you and yours!
