THE MISSION

ORIGINALLY LAUNCHED ON MARCH 13, 2020, BREAKING BREAD WAS BORN OF A NEED TO URGE PUBLIC SUPPORT OF LOCAL, INDEPENDENT RESTAURANTS AND THE FOODSERVICE AND HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY AT LARGE AS WELL AS THOSE WHOSE LIVELIHOODS RELY ON THEM DURING AN UNPRECEDENTED TIME.

At its core, Breaking Bread’s mission was to build community and remind us that during these wild times, staying connected was just as important as keeping our distance.

The award-winning online hub was created to connect consumers to a growing community of independent bars, restaurants and small businesses across Canada that have joined together in the fight against COVID-19.
