A personal touch
A recent article published in Menu Magazine provides some insight into how foodservice and hospitality industry veterans have been weathering the COVID-19 storm since the novel coronavirus hit Canadian shores and started shutting down restaurants across the country in March.
Through thick and thin, one thing has remained a constant for Yuwa Japanese Cuisine Owner Iori Kataoka and her Co-Owner, Chef Masahiro Omori — continuing to offer the same sort of ‘personal touch’ that makes each guest’s visit to the Upper Kitsilano restaurant a memorable one, regardless of whether they’re getting delivery, picking up their order or dining in.

Think inside the [pizza] box
We woke up today, took a little memory lane meander through the old Breaking Bread Instagram and realized that we haven’t posted any gratuitous, hot-’n’-bothered pizza pics since March.

Today’s the day
Today’s the BIG DAY — the official kickoff of the inaugural Dine OutSide Vancouver Festival taking centre stage on menus at restaurants across the city from now until September 21!
Participating dining establishments will be offering expanded patio service and prix-fixe menus at $15, $25, $35 or $45 price points, special promotional offers or take-outside and picnic packs for those who want to take in the great urban outdoors and feast in true al-fresco fashion!
