Canadian 2020 Search Awards
We’re thrilled to announce that our little Breaking Bread labour of love has been shortlisted for the Canadian 2020 Search Awards in the category of ‘Best Use Of Search - Third Sector/Not For Profit’!
It is an honour to even be nominated for this award, and we share this shortlist shout-out with the more than 2,200 small and independent cafes, restaurants, wineries and breweries across the country that have become a valued part of this Breaking Bread family of ours since we first launched with 23 Vancouver restaurants way back in mid-March.
The Canadian 2020 Search Award winners won’t be announced (virtual ceremony, of course!) until Sept. 17 but we’ll keep you all in the loop when and if we have any toot-worthy news to report.
I don’t think you’re ready for this ‘celli
Dig in to this Bún Thịt Nướng Chả Giò Tôm from Anh and Chi in Vancouver.
It’s a vermicelli bowl made with fresh lettuce and Vietnamese herbs, vermicelli noodles, grilled prawn, crispy spring rolls, and a choice of grilled lemongrass chicken, pork or beef with pickled daikon and carrots, crushed peanuts, chive oil, and Mẹ’s Chilli Fish Sauce.
It’s available daily from 11:30 am to late for dine-in (or dine-OUT on its new patio!) and take-out.

This Gastown mainstay recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, added a beauty of a new physically distanced outdoor dining section just in time for summer and is one of the more than 160 restaurants taking part in the inaugural edition of the Dine OutSide festival that launches next Friday, August 21 and runs until Sept. 21.
