Let’s Dine OutSide
Today, Tourism Vancouver announced the restaurants that will be participating in the inaugural Dine OutSide event taking over the city from August 21 to September 21.
More than 160 spots across Vancouver will be offering prix-fixe menus at $15, $25, $35 and $45 price points, as well as special promotional offers and picnic-to-go packs — like Chancho Tortilleria, which is offering an al-fresco backyard banger.
We’re proud to be one of the community partners for this event and will keep showcasing the restaurants and menus on our feed throughout the event! For more information on participating restaurants and special promotional hotel rates, go to dineoutside.ca.
Stand up
The BC Restaurant and Foodservices Association is spearheading a new promotion that allows people to single out chefs, servers, bartenders and other industry professionals for recognition by nominating worthy individuals at bcrfa.com. Those selected will be recognized on social media and entered to win a gift card in appreciation of their dedication.
Meanwhile, thanks to a generous donation of gift cards from Andrew Peller Imports (@graymonkwinery, @redroosterwine, @sandhillwines), the Vancouver Food and Beverage Community Relief Fund is asking people to nominate someone in the community who’s facing hard times due to COVID-19. DM them and tell them why you think that person needs a night off, provide them with their contact info, and the BCHF will take care of the rest and divvy up GCs from places such as Cactus Club, White Spot and The Keg.
