New Brunswick bars, restaurants, cafes and breweries are among the first in the country to re-open their dining and tasting rooms with new social distancing guidelines and health protocols front of mind.

In Fredericton, hungry and thirsty folk can venture out and dine-in (or drink-in) at a number of their favourite Freddy Beach establishments like Trailway Brewing Co., 11th Mile, Isaac's Way, the Tipsy Muse Cafe and more that are opening their doors this week.

As restaurants across the country make preparations to reopen their dining rooms in a limited capacity, we can’t think of a better in-the-moment sentiment than this heartfelt post from Becky Buhler, a front-of-house fixture at Vancouver’s Café Medina, on what she has missed the most and is most looking forward to:

“I miss this room. I miss coming in and arranging the tables just so before service began. I miss seeing the sleepy faces of my team sip their coffees and ready themselves to meet the needs of the hungry queue forming outside the door. I miss the hum of the coffee grinder, the bell ringing at the pass, music over the speakers and the happy sounds of people enjoying their food and each other. But most of all, I just miss being at @medinacafe and being a part of the amazingness that @thefaithfulwolf and @briscoejenna have created. I know it will look different when I go back, but I can’t wait.”
