INDOOR DINING RETURNS TO BRITISH COLUMBIA!
🎉 AT LONG LAST, INDOOR DINING HAS RETURNED TO BC!! 🍾
With the announcement today of BC’s Restart Plan, restaurants around the province are now allowed to reopen for indoor dining.
Here are a few things to keep in mind if you’re choosing to visit your favourite restaurants in the upcoming days:
1. Make a reservation: making a reservation allows restaurants to plan ahead for purchasing ingredients and staffing;
2. Show up: show up on time and cancel your reservation if you can’t make it. With fewer tables, restaurants really can’t afford to keep a table empty;
3. Be patient: restaurants might be short on staff during the first phase of reopening – service might be slower and wait times might be a little longer. Be patient and understanding!;
4. Keep restaurant workers safe: following restaurants’ rules is the best way to show respect to the people cooking and serving your food. Sanitize upon arrival and keep masks on when not seated at the table;
5. Tip generously: it was not easy for everyone to get through these times, and showing your support with a healthy tip is the best show of gratitude;
6. Show love on social media: tell everyone how great the experience was!

HAPPY VICTORIA DAY!
Let’s look at the bright side — this time last year, we were ROYALLY screwed.
This Victoria Day long weekend just feels different. Vaccines are making the rounds. In most provinces, things are beginning to open back up, not shut down. There’s a sense of optimism in the air with summer on the horizon — a summer in which we might be able to actually travel within our provinces and see loved ones.
We’re not out of the woods yet, but we can at least look ahead with more positivity and resolve than we did this time last year. What a difference a year can make.
To all the frontline workers and those in restaurants, small businesses and retail, we hope you get some well-deserved time off this weekend and appreciate your continued service. Wherever you are, try to take this long weekend to rest up and recharge and spend some downtime with those you love.
From all of us at Breaking Bread HQ, a very happy Victoria Day to you and yours.
