Hospitality Heroes

We here at Breaking Bread are continually inspired by the stories of chefs, restaurateurs and small business owners who continue to give back to their communities in spite of the devastating effects of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

@chefmarkmcewan will be one of the special guests and industry leaders who will be taking part in a webcast being hosted by @foodservicemag on Dec. 4 that will detail how members of Canada’s foodservice and hospitality industry are striving to go above and beyond for what they believe in during this time of crisis. Check out their account to get more information and register today.

We’d love to know what you and YOUR teams are doing to give back and lift the spirits of people in need both now and during this upcoming holiday season — drop us a line via DM or at hello@breakingbreadnow.com and let us know the details so that we can help you get the word out.

The Secret Sauce

Today marks the official launch of #SecretSauce — a new online series that takes a deeper look into the hospitality industry to share the stories, the struggles, and uncover what it takes to run a successful restaurant.

Creator @wilsonklee joined our Breaking Bread founder @shelleymcarthur in our office several weeks back to chat about what it’s like to work in restaurant and hospitality PR — from launching a brand new restaurant and organizing seasonal campaigns to pivoting strategies during the pandemic.

100% of all YouTube ad revenue of the show and 25 cents for each social share will be donated to organizations like @FeedingAmerica, @FoodBanksCanada, and our very own @BreakingBreadNow.
