MENU Magazine Features Chef Belcham
From the latest issue of MENU Magazine comes an article by Shannon Murphy about Canadian restaurants forced to close their doors permanently because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
One of those restaurants was an iconic Italian hotspot in Vancouver called Campagnolo, which Chef Robert Belcham and his partners launched in 2008 during what was — at least then — the biggest recession of our time. When he was forced to close the doors this past spring, he assumed it would only be a temporary measure.

It’s Burger Week In Halifax
Okay, all you East Coast Burger lovers. We’re only halfway through #hfxburgerweek, which means there’s still plenty of time to get out, tuck in and chow down on some of the wildly creative concoctions being featured at the more than 140 restaurants across the Greater Halifax region that are taking part in the annual event.
Partial proceeds from the sale of each burger will be donated directly to @feednovascotia.

And even as Ontario Premier Doug Ford and the provincial government have re-imposed another round of closures of dine-in service for certain areas of the province, they also have been calling on food delivery companies to slash exorbitant commissions charged to restaurants and recently announced $300M in financial relief for restaurants through its Main Street Recovery Plan.
