Sending love

Sending love to all our Breaking Bread kin back on the East Coast, especially in Nova Scotia, where Hurricane Teddy is bearing down on the region and bringing rain, wind and storm surge warnings along with it.

A number of Halifax and Dartmouth cafes, breweries and restaurants are either closed for the day or closing and sending home staff early tonight ahead of the storm making landfall, so check out the accounts below for the latest on how they’re faring as everyone slips on the sou’westers and tries to stay dry.

2020 Canadian Search Award

We are beyond thrilled and truly humbled to let you know that this little labour of love we call Breaking Bread won a 2020 Canadian Search Award in the ‘Best Use Of Search - Third Sector / Not For Profit’ category yesterday. The awards celebrate the very best in PPC, SEO and Content Marketing across Canada.

Some of the ‘OG 23’ restaurants that came together in March to help us launch Breaking Bread are pictured above, blissfully mask-free and shoulder to shoulder in those innocent salad days before we started hoarding toilet paper and mixing midday ‘Quarantinis’.

We pledge to you that we’ll keep sharing your stories, fighting the good fight and urging everyone to keep showing their support for the foodservice and hospitality industry and all those who rely on it for their livelihoods as we continue to rebound, restart and recover.
