Kind words

So much gratitude for the thousands of cafes, restaurants, breweries and wineries across Canada that have become part of our Breaking Bread family.

Special thanks to Anh and Chi for the kind words — they serve as constant inspiration and remind us why we started this whole thing in the first place: as a way to put our shoulder to the wheel and show our support of small and independent foodservice and hospitality businesses in every corner of this great country.

As always, we encourage everyone to stand tall, stay strong and support local. We’ll be here every step of the journey.

Dine OutSide

We’re so excited to be one of the community partners teaming up with Tourism Vancouver to launch the first summertime edition of the annual food and drink celebration known as Dine OutSide!

From August 21 to September 21, Metro Vancouverites and visitors from across the province will experience why Vancouver has earned a reputation as an incredible culinary hub as participating dining establishments offer expanded patio service and prix-fixe menus at $15, $25, $35 or $45 price points, special promotional offers or take-outside and picnic packs for those who want to take in the great urban outdoors.

Looking for a place to picnic? Vancouver has plenty of green space and parks for diners to enjoy their meals in true al-fresco fashion. The City of Vancouver’s newest initiative to create temporary pop-up plazas throughout the city is another option for people to safely enjoy their meals outdoors while maintaining a safe distance from each other.
