This catalyst for change can be good news for businesses ready to adapt, with some prognosticators cautiously suggesting the post-COVID-19 world will be favourable for entrepreneurs.

“The industry has gone through such a devastating year, but at the same time there’s so much creativity and innovation,” says Chris Elliott, senior economist for Restaurants Canada. “The feeling is that we’re going to come out of this stronger.”
