Weâre beyond honoured to have received two national awards today at the 2020 Hashtag Awards in the âBest PR Campaignâ and the âReally Nice Awardâ categories!
Presented by @socialathome in partnership with Marketing News Canada, the annual industry competition celebrates the innovative and creative work of Canadaâs marketing, communication and advertising professionals. Both awards recognized the work of our parent company @smccomm on Breaking Bread, which was the first COVID-19 response campaign established in support of restaurants in Canada.
âBreaking Bread is an amazing campaign [SMC envisioned] to raise awareness about the restaurant industry about buying local and keeping the restaurant industry alive,â said the judges.
It goes without saying that itâs an incredible honour to be recognized at this yearâs Hashtag Awards among so many talented industry colleagues in the communications field.
And we couldnât have done any of this without the steadfast support of all of you â the people behind the amazing small and independent restaurant and foodservice businesses across this country that came together and continue to stick with us through thick, thin and pandemic.
