#BEHINDTHEPLEXI PROJECT DEADLINE EXTENDED!
📢 GREAT NEWS! 📢
We’ve been fielding last-minute enquiries from folks looking to purchase their #Behindtheplexi prints, and in the interest of making sure everyone has a shot at helping support restaurant workers in Vancouver, we’re EXTENDING OUR DEADLINE until Sunday, June 6 at midnight!
A quick recap, for the uninitiated:
Behind the Plexi is a raw photo essay features a behind-the-scenes glimpse into 33 beloved local restaurants during the pandemic like @askforluigi, @kulakitchen, @comotaperia, @baobei1, @stlawrencerestaurant and more and offers a series of limited-edition prints available for purchase via breakingbreadnow.com/behind-the-plexi.
All proceeds from each print will be dedicated to the creation of two new scholarships for restaurant workers who have experienced employment setbacks due to COVID-19 — one via the @bchospitalityfoundation and the other to the @chineserestaurantawards scholarship at Vancouver Community College. The Chinese Restaurant Awards will also contribute $10 for every print sold from the collection of photos taken at Chinese and Taiwanese restaurants.
Four acclaimed Vancouver-based photographers graciously donated their artistic eyes and time for the Behind the Plexi project, including: Wade Comer (@wadecomerphoto), Miranda Hudson (@hudsonny), William Luk (@mayowill) and Luis Valdizon (@whentheyfindus).
Big props as always go to @printmaker.studio (printmaker-studio.com), which has been providing printing at cost for each and every Behind the Plexi print! 👏
