Originally launched on March 13, 2020, Breaking Bread was born of a need to urge public support of local, independent restaurants and the foodservice and hospitality industry at large as well as those whose livelihoods rely on them during an unprecedented time.

At its core, Breaking Bread’s mission is to build community and remind us that now more than ever, staying connected is every bit as important as keeping our distance.
